Junior UI/UX Designer

Job Description

We have a position for a Junior UI/UX Designer with one of our clients in Remote for an initial contract duration of 6 months. No third party candidates considered for this position.

The Junior Enterprise UI/UX Designer reports to the Lead Designer and creates user interfaces for software that directly impacts our portfolio of companies. You'll design user flows and prototypes using Figma, collaborating with executives to meet real business needs. This hands-on role lets you see your work in action quickly, as companies use your designs to improve their operations. You'll tackle interesting challenges, balancing creative design with practical business requirements. The ideal candidate has 1-3 years of web application design experience and a strong portfolio. Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop user interfaces, interactions, and user flows for enterprise-level web applications using Figma and other UX tools.
• Create and iterate on wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes in an agile environment, incorporating feedback from stakeholders and usability findings.
• Contribute to the development, maintenance, and adherence of the company's design system, ensuring design quality and cohesion across applications.
• Identify existing usability gaps and proactively propose and implement solutions to enhance user experience.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align designs with technical requirements and business objectives, presenting design concepts effectively to internal teams and key stakeholders.

Qualifications: Required

• Bachelor's degree in Design, Computer Science, or a related field
• 1 to 3 years of experience designing web applications, preferably in B2B/SaaS enterprise-level environments
• Proficiency in UX tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, XD), and/or InVision
• Strong portfolio showcasing web and/or enterprise application design work
• Experience with storyboards and process flows (using tools like Lucid, Visio, etc.)
• Excellent understanding of layout principles, typography, and visual hierarchy

• Must have a portfolio that they can share
• Storyboards – process flows, Lucid/Visio/etc.

Preferred:

• Basic knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript
• Experience with data structures and Entity-Relationship Diagrams (ERDs)
• Familiarity with A/B testing and user analytics tools
