We have a position for a Business Analyst I with one of our clients in Atlanta, GA for an initial contract duration of 5 months. No third party candidates considered for this position.

BUSANL: Consults with internal customers and external vendors to capture agreed-upon business objectives and processes. Performs research and fact-finding to determine business requirements for development of end-user programs, operational procedures and support. Communicates these processes and their implications to technical and non-technical contributors to ensure that applications accurately meet business users' goals. Business Analysts create system requirements, collaborating with the design teams to determine that application, database, & other system impacts based on the requirements. The Business Analyst works closely with other members of the technical teams to ensure all requirements are addressed in the solution design.

  • Facilitate creation of Business Requirements following a traditional approach, or using the Business Process and Analysis (BPA) methodology as determined by the project sponsor
  • Manage Scoring (approving) and Claiming processes with Business and Technology stakeholders to review and refine business requirements and use cases to ensure they are clear, concise and traceable; and to ensure business requirements will be satisfied by the appropriate teams / applications.
  • Identify project stakeholders, risks and benefits of alternate designs; document assumptions; assess project impact of system changes to users, internal and external customers

  • Where knowledge may not be readily available, incumbents at this level know how & where to research and what information is necessary to document
  • Knowledge of the business may be deep in one functional area with surface understanding of other functional area.

Outside Plant Engineering and Construction is seeking an innovative Business Analyst - Requirements to join our Performance Management team. This resource will be responsible for analyzing and assessing all capability needs of our OSPC customers to document complex functional and technical requirements for tool and solution development/implementation. This role requires a team member who can drive to deliver on the needs of the organization. This Analyst will communicate well with the OSPC E&C Executives, Field VPs, Directors, Managers and Supervisors. They should have a strong understanding of OSP E&C processes, programs and tools and will be working on activities that include, but are not limited to tools/solutions that enable programs such as, NT 2.0 (N0/Node Splits), WATTS implementation, Remedy ESRs/Cable Replacements, Residential Build/FTTH, as well as Cox Retail and Carrier activities for Construction. This resource should have experience working directly with stakeholders to elicit all relevant information needed to document comprehensive requirements. As such, the ability to communicate complex information in simple ways is a plus.  This Analyst needs to be a proactive, self-starter who is eager to learn the business, our stakeholders, the tools, and how all are interconnected.  This Analyst also needs to be a critical thinker who is not afraid to ask questions to build/confirm their understanding of processes and requirements.

Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

  • Manages their own day to day activities to ensure efficient and quality delivery of solutions.
  • Provides and conducts analytic efforts to support business operations, which may include data analysis.
  • Partners with Project Manager to identify stakeholders, understand overall project scope/timelines
  • Documents requirements – leads a team of resources responsible for documenting requirements by using requirement elicitation techniques like brainstorming, requirements workshops, focus groups, etc.
  • Validates requirements – cross referencing with all stakeholders to gain buy-in
  • Analyze and interpret requirements for viability against the business objective and/or capability gap.
  • Add value through recommendation of workaround, alternative solutions, etc.
  • Prototype and model requirements – ensuring that stakeholders get a feel of what will be delivered as a final solution
  • Validate any new requirements for effect and impact on the existing solution
