The Manager, Key Account Marketing leads the development and activation of strategic marketing plans to meet the goals of its clients. He/she is responsible for orchestrating the resources and processes needed to deliver strategically aligned, highly focused multi-channel marketing programs that deliver results for a group of assigned clients. Individual will be responsible for all aspects of planning and subsequent execution, including the overall objectives, strategy, tactics for both internal and external messaging, and measurement of results. Critical to this role is the ability to collaborate very closely with clients, collaborate with a number of internal constituents across the organization.
Job Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning
- Responsible for the development of annual marketing plans for assigned list of key accounts (automotive manufacturers, banks and financial institutions, auto rental companies, major dealer groups), including all advertising, direct marketing, brand strategy and promotions, appropriately conceived to support the objectives of each customer’s business
- Works closely with key stakeholders (directly with clients and with Client sales leaders) to ensure alignment of strategic plans with stakeholder objectives and resources
- Collaborates with consulting teams and campaign management team to interpret market data (i.e., market trends, customer behavior, competitor intelligence, etc.), develop insights and make recommendations to internal and external clients in the form of actionable marketing strategies
- Brings focus to new opportunities for growth, particularly in online channels, working closely with Client Digital Marketing team
- Finds new strategic collaboration opportunities within Inventory Solutions and across Client
Marketing Program Development & Execution
- Effectively translates marketing strategies into specific programs and campaigns tied to business objectives and supports the execution of account marketing plans across multiple auction locations and channels
- Applies understanding of CRM marketing techniques to create programs
- Leverages customer data and suite of CRM tools to develop target lists optimized against set of campaign criteria
- Presents plans and proposals to various internal and external targets (internal departments, sales staff, commercial clients, etc.)
- Manages co-op funds and workload to ensure projects are delivered on time and on budget
- Designs and deploys measurement and tracking tools to enhance campaign effectiveness (ROI) and provide visibility to clients
- Collaborates with key internal teams to ensure strong execution of marketing programs, including field marketing, creative services, operations and brand marketing
Client Management
- Builds productive working relationships with clients (clients as well as internal stakeholders)
- Meets in-person with clients on a regular basis
- Tactfully guides clients in prioritizing programs and campaigns against resource constraints
