We have a position for a Trainer and Documentation Specialist with one of our clients in Atlanta, GA for an initial contract duration of 7 months. US citizens and all those authorized to work in the US are encouraged to apply.

As a trainer and documentation specialist for Client, you will be working with the Client team to train and support state agencies to ensure Client’s websites follow best content practices offered by the state’s enterprise digital platform.

Client, is hiring for the position of Trainer and Documentation Specialist. The Client team creates and  manages content for the state flagship website and supports a custom Drupal based Content Management System (CMS) platform supporting more than 60 state agency websites. In addition, the team is responsible for onboarding new agencies, and partnering with agency customers to determine how the platform can best serve their content needs.

Position Summary:

As a trainer and documentation specialist for Client, you will be working with the Client team to train and support state agencies to ensure Client’s websites follow best content practices offered by the state’s enterprise digital platform. The Client team supports state agencies in three key areas:

  • Delivering technology solutions
  • Consulting on best practices
  • Building capacity

The best candidate will have experience in Drupal, a passion for delivering training (on-site and online), and experience writing and managing training documentation. This position is a resident training expert who will deliver technical training based on web best practices and conduct hands-on workshops.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Deliver training courses for new and existing content managers on Drupal CMS and Siteimprove.
  • Learn the ins and outs of creating and managing content on the Drupal platform.
  • Understand and learn existing content developed for workshops and trainings to be capable of leading those trainings.
  • Develop new training content to address any gaps identified in training opportunities.
  • Manage all online training documentation ensuring it stays updated and relevant, providing the most accurate information to users.
  • Strategically plan training courses and schedule courses throughout the year to ensure trainings are offered on a consistent basis.
  • Ensure the Client site is updated with upcoming training opportunities and registration is available.
  • Show understanding and empathy while assisting the Support Lead to help technical or content-related questions from content managers.
  • Provide feedback on training opportunities and offer suggestions on ways DSGa can better serve agency content managers to improve soft skills and technical skills.
  • Help agencies understand changes between Drupal 7 and Drupal 8 by providing additional one-on-one training or group trainings, as needed.
  • Be comfortable leading and speaking in front of small to medium-size groups.
