IT Cost Accountant for DRIVES Project

Job Description

We have a position for a IT Cost Accountant for DRIVES Project with one of our clients in Atlanta, GA for an initial contract duration of 5 months. US citizens and all those authorized to work in the US are encouraged to apply.

• As needed: develops, prepares, analyzes and/or revises complex budget with supporting factors, calculations and justification for assigned project
• Sustains ongoing review of budget, analyzing financial trends and recommending appropriate courses of action
• Tracks and monitors progress of project expense
• Maintains monthly record of budget and expense for itemized project cost
• Works with project manager to investigate expense and assumptions that support budget
• Provides recommendations and updates to DRIVES Finance subcommittee and Governance Council as needed
• Drafts memos and charts budget/expense data as needed to support communication of project progress for agency and state leadership
• Works independently and in partnership with stakeholders and leadership

Essential Skills/Experience

• Project cost accounting
• Experience with financial monitoring and tracking for IT-driven projects
• Expert Microsoft Excel skills
• Strong written and verbal communications skills
• Strong analytical skills
• Ability to pass criminal background/tax check
