Job Description

Our client is looking for a System Administrator who is responsible for a full range of system administrative and consultative activities which ensures the operational effectiveness supporting advertising business needs across the audience-based platforms. Proactively monitors and supports user requests, system update, enhancements, and issues. Serves as support in responding to and diagnosing production support problems. Interacts effectively with internal customers and appropriate system vendors to conduct necessary research and analysis to resolve issues and introduce new capabilities. Ensures documentation standards and procedures for operations are in place. Actively seeks and evaluates opportunities for process improvement. Provides system maintenance and support for enterprise applications and other systems as required and provides a means to verify the integrity of existing infrastructure. Will be expected to respond and support product emergencies when required.

Possesses the knowledge and ability to utilize tools, techniques, and processes for gathering and reporting data. Contributes to and/or leads projects to gather data for needs analysis, to support decision-making and to develop business-focused insights. Customizes data fields to meet the client / business needs. Interprets and explains data in a clear, concise, and actionable manner. Detects and summarizes patterns in data and findings. Develops reports, presentations and recommendations for team and management consumption. Sets up and/or follows procedures to collect and review information needed to manage an organization or ongoing activities within it. Determines which processes or areas need monitoring, identifies information required and develops and implements tracking systems. Ensures systems are easy to use, produce timely and pertinent information and are minimally disruptive to organizational processes.

Knowledge of and ability to use, organizational methods, practices, and tools for administering, facilitating and/or managing projects. Utilizes project administration and/or management tools for project-related time and resource estimation, dependency identification, conflict identification, task assignments, documentation, and reporting. Documents project meetings, including status reports on deliverables and next steps. Develops cost-benefit analyses, tracking and reviewing actual versus planned costs. Ensures project-related problems are surfaced, documented, and reported to appropriate project personnel and/or management.

Required Skills

  • 5+ years of experience required in related field (Advertising Technology, Data Solutions, Telecommunication Information Technology or Engineering); 3 + years of experience required if candidate possesses a related advanced degree.
  • 2 or 3-5 more years of experience required in related field – Marketing, Advertising, or related field.
  • Requires strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Prior experience in digital media, specifically online digital video and/or advanced television.
  • Strong multitasking, analytical and creative skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively with teams throughout organization.
  • Looking for a self-starter, self-directed individual with strong organizational skills and pays attention to all detail with strong follow-up skills.
  • Strong analytical capability and Excel proficiency.
  • Nimble and adaptable in our fast-paced environment.
  • Experience defining and implementing new processes and workflows that utilize best practices

  • Ability to 10% travel as required by land or air on an occasional basis

Preferred Skills

  • Prior experience with Freewheel MRM, particularly related to network design/maintenance
  • BS/BA degree in related discipline strongly desired
  • BS/BA degree in related discipline strongly desired (information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering)
  • Experience in Video/Digital Advertising Technology or Telecommunications Preferred
  • Prior experience with Freewheel MRM product
  • Prior experience with Splunk
  • Gains familiarity with Systems Administration concepts, practices, and methodologies.
  • With guidance, performs standard Systems Administration Analyst duties, including:
  • Creating, updating, and publishing network diagrams and configurations
  • Performing daily administrative tasks such as, device configuration and troubleshooting
  • Responding to issues and customer requests
  • Evaluating customer hardware requests for compliance, conformity, applicability, performance, and cost effectiveness,
  • Researching and analyzing systems issues
  • Assisting in the development, implementation, and documentation of project tasks
  • Documenting assigned activities and progress.
  • Learns and applies the company’s Systems administration policies and guidelines.
  • Assists with special projects as assigned.
