Job Description

We have 2 positions for a Senior Software Engineer Senior Front End Developer with one of our clients in Exton, PA for an initial contract duration of 6 months. No third party candidates considered for this position.

The Client is seeking a Senior Front End Engineer to establish a strong foundation of UI infrastructure, influence and drive best practices in UI development, and mentor peers and junior developers.  The ideal candidate has a minimum of 5 years hands-on front end software development experience, with a minimum of 1-year hands-on experience with React, Redux, and Jest.  The ideal candidate also possesses excellent communication and consensus-building skills and a proven ability to advance UI development practice in a software organization.

Specific Responsibilities:

• Participate in development and test of embeddable UI widgets using React, Redux, Jest, Enzyme, SASS
• Triage and debug UI performance and functionality issues
• Work with Client’s development team to establish core UI infrastructure, including CI/CD pipeline, automation of developer tasks, dependency management and execution of Javascript unit tests
• Build the organization’s proficiency in UI development through mentoring of peers and junior developers and delivery of hands-on training
• Actively participate in code reviews and establish strict quality standards for UI code
• Drive consolidation of best practices by working with local developers at Client, as well as UIUX developers in Client’s Common Experience team, to ensure consistency across UIs
• The contract period is a minimum of 6 months, with the possibility of extending over a year or into a full-time position.
