We have a position for a Project Manager with one of our clients in Atlanta, GA for an initial contract duration of 1 year. No third party candidates considered for this position.

The IT Project Manager will be a part of the Client Team. Client is the state’s integrated system for determining eligibility across multiple benefits programs. These programs include Medical Assistance (Medicaid, Peach Care for Kids®, Planning for Healthy Babies, Aged, Blind and Disabled Medicaid, etc.), Supplement Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP/Food Stamps), Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC), and Childcare and Parent Services (CAPS).

Job Description:

  • Under broad supervision, the IT Project Manager directs and develops, communicates and monitors quality assurance and testing project work plans and schedules for the application software development.
  • Supervises, monitors and develops systems project tasks and project schedules for system development, maintenance or enhancement.
  • Tracks and controls project resources and staffing needs
  • Creates reports on status of agency information security programs and projects.
  • Will manage the work responsibility of large numbers of agency staff or have large scope of responsibility within agency.
  • Analyzes trends to anticipate and adapt to changes and makes recommendations for changes to the PMO
  • Manager and the Deputy Director of Technology
  • Assesses and manages project risks, analyzing critical paths and establishing work breakdown structures
  • Follows established project criteria and procedures for project activities, ensuring that priorities, objectives, and activities are consistent with agency and entity goals
  • May manage internal projects or sub-projects of larger projects.
  • Serves as principal focal point for project implementation by coordinating and managing multiple complex project activities following widely recognized industry standards for the formulation and completion of work in the area of project management
