We have a position for a HRIS Project Manager (Contractor) with one of our clients in Remote for an initial contract duration of 1 year. No third party candidates considered for this position.

Client is seeking a contract HRIS Project Manager to lead the implementation and integration of HR and payroll systems across the enterprise. This role requires someone with strong project management skills and experience working with complex HR technology environments. The company is currently using a mix of systems, and this position will be key in moving toward a centralized, modern HRIS platform.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the end-to-end implementation of an enterprise-wide HRIS, integrating multiple payroll systems into a unified platform
  • Act as the central point of coordination between HR, IT, external vendors, and other stakeholders
  • Develop and manage detailed project plans with multiple workstreams and deadlines
  • Identify risks, resolve issues, and ensure consistent communication across teams
  • Ensure a smooth transition from legacy systems to a new, integrated HRIS solution (Client is moving forward with Dayforce, but prior experience with other systems is acceptable)
  • Help the organization shift from using payroll systems as their primary HR technology to adopting a true HRIS model
  • Work with stakeholders to define requirements and ensure system functionality aligns with business needs

What Were Looking For

  • Proven experience implementing and integrating HR and payroll systems at scale
  • Strong understanding of HR technology, data flows, and system architecture
  • Familiarity with major HRIS or HCM platforms (e.g., Dayforce, Workday, SAP, Oracle, ADP, etc.)
  • Ability to manage cross-functional teams and external vendors
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment with multiple stakeholders
  • Experience in a unionized environment or with AS400 is a plus

Current Tech Landscape

  • ADP (in use across multiple business units)
  • AS400 (used for union-related payroll)
  • No centralized HCM currently in place
