Network Operations Center (NOC) Technician

Job Description

We have 2 positions for a Network Operations Center (NOC) Technician with one of our clients in Atlanta, GA for an initial contract duration of 6 months. No third party candidates considered for this position.

We are seeking motivated and experienced Network Operations Center (NOC) Technicians to join our team in Atlanta, Georgia. The ideal candidate should have a strong engineering background, a minimum of 2-4 years of relevant experience, and a deep understanding of networking technologies, especially Cisco products. Training will be provided to enhance existing skills and knowledge.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as the primary point of contact for monitoring and managing network operations, ensuring the smooth operation of our network infrastructure.
• Collaborate with external providers, such as Comcast, to resolve network issues and maintain effective communication channels.
• Troubleshoot and optimize wireless network connectivity, addressing any disruptions promptly.
• Utilize your telecommunications expertise to manage and troubleshoot telecommunications systems.
• Monitor and maintain fiber connections to ensure data integrity and high-speed connectivity.
• Manage and configure firewalls, including Palo Alto, to safeguard network security.
• Maintain and configure Cisco Meraki devices, switches, and access points.
• Perform configuration and troubleshooting tasks related to switching and wireless technologies.
• Manage and maintain RedHat and Windows Server environments, ensuring their reliability.
• Oversee GPS monitoring systems and respond to location-based issues as needed.
• Maintain and troubleshoot HPE server infrastructure to ensure high availability.

Qualifications:

• A strong engineering background.
• 2-4 years of experience in network operations or a related field.
• Proficiency with Cisco networking technologies.
• Familiarity with RedHat and Windows Server environments.
• Experience with firewall configuration, specifically Palo Alto.
• Knowledge of Cisco Meraki devices.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.

Additional Information:

There are 4 shifts in total - 6:00 am to 2:00 pm, 12:00 pm to 7:00 pm, and two night shifts (exact hours to be determined). There are 2 openings for this position, reflecting the growing demands of our network operations.
