We have a position for a Sr Scrum Master with one of our clients in Atlanta, GA for an initial contract duration of 5 months. No third party candidates considered for this position.

Job Summary

Serves as servant leader and coach for Agile teams. Facilitates team learning and growth and drives development of a Lean / Agile operating model. Works with teams to continuously productivity, predictability and transparency while providing guidance to help teams through Agile ceremonies, release planning and impediment removal. Coaches and provides guidance to help teams through Agile ceremonies, release planning and impediment removal. Fosters an inclusive culture, ensuring team members are fully engaged, understand and accept team and individual accountabilities and collaborate effectively in achievement of expected outcomes.

 

PRIMARY DUTIES/KEY RESPONSIBILITES

  • Coaches assigned teams on adherence to Lean / Agile methodologies and cross-team planning and delivery processes.
  • Leads team efforts in relentless improvement, in part by teaching problem solving techniques and helping improve self-reliance.
  • Works with teams / team members to foster a high-performance culture and an environment in which issues are effectively surfaced and resolved at the team level.
  • Monitors and tracks planning, completion and implementation metrics.
  • Provides data and informational updates to help all stakeholders track planning / implementation progress.
  • Summarizes team planning objectives, publishing and communicating for visibility and transparency.
  • Responsible for improving program increment (PI) planning and associated processes to develop and drive vision, roadmap, backlog and pre- and post PI planning.
  • Facilitates periodic synchronization meetings, including delivery teams at the program level.
  • Ensures issue data quality levels within team boards.
  • Assists with internal and external communication, improving transparency and sharing information.
  • Contributes to Lean / Agile Practice team knowledge sessions by presenting learning topics.
  • Defines, develops and recommends tool and process improvement methodologies.

Required Experience & Specialized Knowledge and skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline and 4 years’ experience in a related field; or a different combination, such as a master's degree and 2 years’ experience; a Ph.D. and 1 years’ experience in a related field; or 12 years’ experience in a related field with no degree
  • Skilled in analytical thinking, effective presentations, managing multiple priorities, project administration & management and technology savvy.
  • Acts with integrity. Skilled in building partnerships, driving innovation, focusing on execution and striving for excellence.
  • Other duties as needed or required.
