Job Description

We have a position for a Workflow Consultant FCC Form 499-A/Q with one of our clients in Remote for an initial contract duration of 3 months. No third party candidates considered for this position.

The FCC Form 499-A/Q Workflow Assessment Consultant conducts a comprehensive review of the parent companys tax department filing processes to ensure accuracy, regulatory compliance, and alignment with client billing data. The role evaluates end-to-end workflows, identifies discrepancies and data integrity issues, and provides recommendations to strengthen reporting rigor and revenue-assurance controls. The consultant delivers clear documentation and executive-ready reports summarizing findings, impacts, and required remediations.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform a full assessment of the FCC Form 499-A/Q filing workflow, including process efficiency, documentation quality, and regulatory compliance. Validate workflow steps against client billing-to-499 mapping documentation. Reconcile client billing data with reported FCC Form 499-A/Q values and identify discrepancies or mapping issues. Conduct root-cause analysis to determine financial and compliance impacts of deviations. Document revenue-assurance gaps, associated risks, and contributing causes. Recommend improved controls, corrective actions, and workflow enhancements. Develop corrective action plans including root cause, impact, and resolution steps. Produce executive-ready deliverables: - Process Review Summary - Billing vs. Filing Reconciliation Report - Corrective Action & Control Design Package Create structured task lists for required updates to billing-data reporting processes. Collaborate with tax, compliance, and billing stakeholders to clarify findings and support remediation efforts.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or equivalent experience. Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience with telecommunications billing systems and business practices. Familiarity with tax, regulatory, and surcharge filings and configurations. Hands-on experience with data reconciliation, variance review, and data-integrity validation. Background in revenue-assurance processes and control recommendations. Proven ability to prepare professional, executive-ready reports.
