We have a direct-hire position for a Commercial Real Estate Paralegal-Charleston, SC with one of our clients in Charleston, SC. No third party candidates considered for this position.

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Commercial Real Estate Paralegal to join our Charleston office. This role is ideal for a candidate with prior law firm experience supporting attorneys in complex commercial real estate matters. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic about handling a wide range of transactions, including the development, acquisition, sale, leasing, and financing of commercial properties, and will thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities: In this dynamic role, you will be immersed in a fast-paced Commercial Real Estate practice, providing vital support to attorneys while collaborating with other paralegals and project assistants in a team-oriented environment. Your responsibilities will include playing an integral role in all transactions, with a specific focus on preparing critical dates memos and closing checklists, analyzing title commitments, title instruments, and boundary surveys, preparing authorizing resolutions and closing certificates, and coordinating with all parties involved in a real estate closing. Youll draft summaries and objection letters related to title reviews and help orchestrate and maintain the momentum of transactions. Additionally, you will organize and fulfill conditions to meet title requirements, conduct research on real property tax and ownership information, and coordinate real estate closings alongside your colleagues. Youll also monitor the recording and issuance of final title insurance policies and manage post-closing matters. Beyond these tasks, you will handle commercial real estate leasing matters, including drafting, reviewing, and managing commercial leases, amendments, and ancillary documents. Your keen attention to detail will ensure all leasing documents comply with legal standards and client specifications. You will also coordinate with clients and title companies to facilitate the execution of lease documents and resolve any leasing-related issues promptly. You may also be asked, from time to time, to assist trust and estate lawyers with probate filings, though no prior experience is expected in this area.

If youre looking to grow in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and contribute to complex commercial real estate transactions, wed love to hear from you!

Qualifications: Must have 3+ years of relevant experience, the ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet strict deadlines for discerning clients will be second nature to you. Demonstrating excellent client service skills, you will handle multiple matters simultaneously in an organized manner and with minimal supervision. Effective communication with individuals at all levels, including management and support staff, will be one of your strong suits. Your computer proficiency for document organization and management, along with your overall technological familiarity, will further enhance your capabilities. Both as an independent worker and a team player, you excel, and your proactive, self-starting mindset allows you to understand the finer details within a broader context.
