We have a direct-hire position for a Legal Recruiting & Development Coordinator - Torrance, CA with one of our clients in Torrance, CA. No third party candidates considered for this position.

Overview:

Our Client, is seeking a Legal Recruiting and Development Coordinator to join their team. This role will focus on recruiting lateral associates and contract attorneys for our West Coast offices and will play a key part in attracting top legal talent to support our continued growth.

Responsibilities:

  • In this role, you will manage the full lifecycle of lateral associate and contract attorney recruiting while serving as a key point of contact for candidates, attorneys, and external partners.
  • You will be responsible for drafting job postings, tracking open positions, screening resumes, and conducting phone interviews as needed.
  • You will coordinate the full interview process and ensure the timely completion of all pre-hire due diligence, including new attorney questionnaires, client list reviews, verification of bar standing, reference checks, and background screenings.
  • This role also supports the offer process and maintains accurate candidate tracking and correspondence to ensure a seamless experience.
  • In addition, you will oversee the contract attorney process, including onboarding, timesheet management, invoicing, and partnering with external staffing agencies, while building and maintaining strong pipelines of legal talent to meet ongoing hiring needs.

Qualifications:

  • The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in legal recruiting and thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • This individual demonstrates strong judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to build relationships while managing multiple priorities with professionalism and efficiency.
  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field preferred
  • 3+ years of legal recruiting, law firm recruiting, or attorney staffing experience
  • Experience building and maintaining talent pipelines and partnering with search firms or staffing agencies
  • Proficiency with applicant tracking systems (such as iCIMS) and Microsoft Office
