We have a position for a Sr Product Mgr with one of our clients in Atlanta, GA for an initial contract duration of 3 months. No third party candidates considered for this position.

PRDEV:

Accountable for developing new products and product enhancements.

  • Ability to work with large cross-functional teams in a matrix organization.
  • Follow and research industry and customer trends to provide inputs into the ideation process.
  • Demonstrate strong technical and market knowledge of the assigned product family.
  • Regularly gather input from customers and lead users to find and address product weaknesses or market opportunities.
  • Participate in the development of product strategy and the alignment of product roadmaps to strategy.
  • Move ideas through a project funnel from ideation to concept to trial to development and to deployment as the champion and owner of the initiatives.
  • Provide project management leadership and guidance to cross-functional teams in their support of product initiatives during planning and deployment.
  • Manage, review, and allocate budgeted and actual spending for product development and deployment activities. Maintain financial and executive reporting. Define metrics to evaluate project team performance.
  • Develop and implement metrics and communication plans to document the progress of individual projects against key milestones.
  • Responsible for ensuring the successful system-by-system or nationwide implementation of new services and service enhancements.
  • Ensure the successful completion of the product development process, on time and within budget.
  • Assist with the development of 3rd party vendor requirements for new products.
  • Work with vendor partners to develop new products and product enhancements. 

Additional Information: Notes from Manager:

This person will be helping to grow the national accounts business with "Beyond Boundaries."  client had a consulting firm come in and help them build better business plans, and this person will oversee implementing those plans and making them their own.  They will own the National Account strategy and help to align initiatives to what is already in existence.  They will help to create a road map and help to identify funding.  They will also work on "just do it" projects which will be smaller in scale.  The manager is really looking for someone with a strong foundation in LEAN as well (certification preferred).  They need to be able to get things done quickly without a whole new organization.  This person must be a strong strategic thinker and be able to fill the gap where needed.  Strong project/program management skills are required; they must also be strong in process discipline and change management.  Agile, Scrum, and Kanban experiences are highly preferred.  Salesforce experience is also highly preferred (Communities experience specifically).  This resource will need to own a vision and help bring it to life.  Also, communication skills are extremely important as this person will need to work with all levels of roles to accomplish tasks.  They also need to have worked with Exec level folks and done Exec level reporting.

The resource will lead to operationalizing the National Account channel strategy, including overall alignment with key leadership and functional stakeholders, analysis of recommended initiatives and alignment with existing functional and Beyond Boundaries plans, alignment with funding scenarios and identification of new funding and project needs, alignment of initiatives with overall Beyond Boundaries program management structure, manage overall national account project logistics and program plans, lead projects as may be needed, provide program and executive updates, and maintain overall thought leadership alignment with sales leaders and other key functional stakeholders.
