We have a Contract position for "Specialist, Marketing Communication" with one of our direct clients in Atlanta, Georgia for initial contract duration of  35+ months. Job Description

An immediate need for a Marketing Communications Specialist to support Client Business Product team in the development of content for our products and solutions published on both internal and external channels. The ideal candidate will be a communications specialist who possesses very strong writing skills to develop understandable, well-written content with little to no rework. The ideal candidate is comfortable generating original content given provided research and background information. This specialist will also manage an online inventory of digital assets including decks, posters, one-pagers, brochures, videos, infographics and more ensuring assets meet brand requirements. A knowledge of design is helpful but not required.

Knowledge :

  • Possesses and applies comprehensive knowledge of particular field of specialization to the completion of complex assignments. Advanced knowledge of organization's technologies and practices Primary contribution is in applying knowledge (product, industry, professional, technical) rather than managing people. Greater than 50% of time is doing individual contributor work. No responsibility for developing and managing operating plans/budgets

Influence/People Leadership :

  • May oversee the completion of projects or assignments, including planning, assigning, monitoring, and reviewing progress and accuracy of work, evaluating results, etc.

Required Skills

Top 3-5 MUST HAVEs OR REQUIRED skillset:

  • Strong, writing and copy editing skills with advanced command of Associated Press (AP) Style
  • Experience working closely with graphic designers and vendors
  • Proven history of Marketing Communications-specific content development in corporate setting (B2B a bonus)
  • Confident, solution-based communicator with ability to project manage and liaise with internal clients
  • Highly organized, reliable, great executive presence

Typical Training / Experience :

  • Typically requires BS/BA in related discipline
  • Generally, 5-7 years of experience in related field

Minimum:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications or a related field
  • Five (5) to seven (7) years of related communications experience (knowledge, skills and abilities), preferably focused on product marketing within a B2B organization
  • Knowledge of broadband communications and entertainment (digital video, Internet, telephone, home security and automation services)
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills in multiple mediums, skills to include presenting, editing and copywriting, as well as accuracy and attention to detail
  • Project and stakeholder management experience
  • Ability to achieve high performance goals and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational skills that reflect ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail
  • Highly resourceful team-player with the ability to work autonomously as well as collaborate with other areas of Product Development, Product Marketing and Communications
  • Proven experience learning new technology quickly to drive business results
  • Advanced proficiency Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat
  • Forward looking thinker, who actively seeks opportunities and proposes solutions
  • Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion, be adaptable to various competing demands and demonstrate the highest level of customer/client servicer and response.

  • Samples of previous work will be requested, including writing samples
  • Copyediting “test” or assignment included interview process

Preferred Skills

Preferred:

  • One (1) to three (3) years of knowledge management/marketing asset management systems (e.g., SharePoint, Webdam, Seismic, etc.) experience; direct experience using Highspot is a plus
  • Understanding of the components of common visual aesthetics and layout, design and graphics
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, specifically InDesign to edit existing templates
  • Understands UX/UI principles and best practices across web and mobile
