Data Engineering Solution Architect

Job Description

We have a position for a Data Engineering Solution Architect with one of our clients in Remote for an initial contract duration of 6 months. No third party candidates considered for this position.

Essential Job Functions

• Understand business requirements and develop it in Databricks, Pyspark, AWS, Python, Scala and follow Agile methodology, participate in scrum ceremonies.
• Define CI, CD pipeline with data Bricks, tableau and GitHub.
• Come up with high level design and architectural framework.
• Implement clean code and code optimization using Python, Scala, and MySQL.
• Mentors and trains junior developers in the team.
• Collaborates with testers to ensure defect free results.
• Coordinates documentation reviews and remediation with the module SMEs and the implementation team.
• Participates in technical reviews and inspections to verify 'intent of change' is carried out through the entire project.
• Assists in providing time estimates for project-related tasks.
• Assists in developing the methods and procedures required to identify if current business goals and objectives meet organizational needs.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Bachelor's degree in business administration, information systems, or related field preferred
• At least 4 years of Databricks, Pyspark Development experience
• Should have performed the Solution Architect Role for a Data Engineering Team.
