We have 4 Contract positions for "Planner I" with one of our direct clients in Atlanta, Georgia for initial contract duration of  8+ months.

Job Description

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in one of the following fields: transportation planning, rural/urban planning, regional planning, urban studies, policy studies, geography, statistics, economics or closely related field
  • OR a Bachelor’s degree from an ABET accredited college or university in Civil Engineering with course work experience (or a minor) in any of the aforementioned planning fields. (If selected for the position, the candidate is required to provide an original college transcript showing the required coursework --minor).

Required Skills

  • This position may require statewide travel with occasional overnight stays

Preferred Skills

  • One or more years of experience in managing or working on highway and/or multimodal transportation planning related projects and/or studies
  • Master’s degree in one of the following fields: transportation planning, rural/ urban planning, regional planning, urban studies, policy studies, ge
  • Possess experience analyzing, interpreting, and/or applying federal or state regulations.
  • Possess experience or knowledge in one or more of the transportation focus areas of freight, resiliency,autonomous vehicles, PB Planning & CMAQ
  • Possess experience in the planning and analysis of highway and/or multimodal transportation systems.
  • Possess experience and/or knowledge of transportation funding sources, particularly federal and state programs
  • Possess ability to coordinate and communicate with teams to accomplish goals and deadlines
  • Possess excellent internal and external customer service
  • Possess experience with Highway Capacity Software, VISSIM, Synchro and ArcGIS software or other related software
