Space Management Planner

We have a Contract position for "Space Management Planner" with one of our direct clients in Atlanta, Georgia for initial contract duration of  12+ months. No third party candidates considered for this position. US citizens and all those authorized to work in the US are encouraged to apply.

Job Description

Support the business by providing space management solutions, analysis, and reporting to maximize utilization, occupancy, and workspace needs.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary liaison for space utilization of over 5 million square feet of privately and publicly leased facilities nationwide.
  • Generate, modify, and evaluate drawings; operate and maintain facility and space data in a computer-aided facility management (CAFM) system or an integrated workplace management system (IWMS). Serve as the subject matter expect responsible for office modifications.
  • EXAMPLES MAY INCLUDE: preparing floorplans, managing real property data; tracking and reviewing space utilization in a computer-aided facility management (CAFM) system or an integrated workplace management system (IWMS) such as FM Interact Systems; conducting business case analysis; maintaining all records for systems furniture, signage and related furnishings; and planning, organizing or forecasting for leases, space, and construction projects.
  • Ensure that policies and procedures are remain current and relevant.
  • Partner with facilities operations, workplace construction and design team, as well as internal customers to manage space and provide space solutions.
  • Floor Map adds/modifications to reflect space changes and updates
  • Conduct bi-weekly space audits to ensure accurate floor map updates
  • Track employee lifecycle for space allocation and reporting
  • Partner with internal customers to assign and manage space allocations
  • Move project management, logistical planning, and execution
  • Distribute reports and plans to leadership monthly or as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Required: High school diploma or equivalent.


  • Required: 3-5 years facilities, space planning, and move management experience.  Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks, work with minimal supervision, and manage/build relationships.
  • Strong analytical skills to review plans, reports, and provide space recommendations.
  • Team player and “can do” attitude.
  • Ability to become subject matter expert in space planning and move management.
  • Familiar with a variety of facilities concepts, space layouts, as well as space planning best practices.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • A wide degree of flexibility, creativity, and latitude is expected.
  • Ability to partner work with all levels of management.

Preferred Skills

  • College degree and AutoCAD experience
  •  1-3 years AutoCAD experience modifying and publishing plans. Facilities management tool experience. Standardization
