Job Description

We have a position for a Accounting Spec I with one of our clients in North Hills, NY for an initial contract duration of 1 year.

The Billing Contracts team processes contracts for multiple business units within the client.  Billing Specialist 1 is responsible for reviewing Sales opportunities and contracts for accuracy, consistency, and completeness according to the requirements of each business unit and processes the contracts into respective systems.  This includes maintaining contracts as updates are needed and maintaining customer-specific pricing for the contract.  Attention to detail is critical as contracts processed in the system determine to the bill as well as activate and deactivate the product/service for the customer.

The Team also responds to contract-related billing questions from sales, billing execution, credits, and collection teams as well as resolving cases assigned.

• Some reporting is required to support sales billing and accounting.
• Some overtime may be required to meet month-end deadlines.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Processes Contracts into respective systems for billing
• Gathers and researches information related to contracts for billing, credits, and collections processes.
• Ensures correct customer billing in a timely manner.
• Enters contracts/orders for correct billing and revenue recognition.
• Reviews status of accounts and opens A/R as part of contract processing for specific BUs.
• Assists in the resolution of outstanding invoice queries and disputes. -  Assists with special projects as assigned
