Job Description
The Business Analyst functions as a liaison between the business users and programmers to ensure that projects meet outlined objectives and resolve system issues. This position creates project specifications, designs/executes test plans and analyzes results. The Business Analyst formulates, creates and prepares required presentations, and compiles necessary documentation to support positions on issues. The Business Analyst should be proficient in creating and maintaining various types of project artifacts/documentation that will be used across the department for reporting and tracking critical data.
This is hybrid position, that requires 3 days onsite and 2 days remote.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Create & execute test plans and analyze test results
- Coordinate, manage and execute projects and other tasks for Life Operations
- Research and resolve departmental system issues and concerns
- Develop and maintain statistical reports as needed on a daily, weekly, monthly and ad-hoc basis for all levels of management
- Devise and recommend solutions and options for system design and enhancements
- Gain knowledge of the systems and processes of the departments and business functions they support
- Able to work independently with more limited direction from management.
- Handle multiple priorities simultaneously
Required Skills
Education & Experience
- 3-5 years Project Management Experience preferred
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, MIS, or related field preferred, not required
Technical Skills:
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Project, Excel, Teams, Visio, and PowerPoint
- Working knowledge of QMF or SQL and database structures
- Agile & Jira experience a plus
- Knowledge of application design and software development methodologies
Communication Skills:
- Excellent communication, organizational, and project management skills
- Ability to communicate within and across diverse project teams
- Ability to work with extreme time sensitivity and handle multiple and changing priorities simultaneously
- Strong analytical aptitude
- Self-motivated with the ability to work in a demanding and fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently while understanding when to seek advice
