Job Description

We have a position for a Network Admin IV with one of our clients in Atlanta, GA for an initial contract duration of 1 year. No third party candidates considered for this position.

Primary responsibility:
  • Managing and maintaining Client engineering network monitoring tools applications
  • Works with vendor and Client engineers to provide testing frameworks.
  • Provides ongoing support, monitoring, and maintenance of deployed products.
  • Monitors server and application availability utilizing Client and 3rd party vendor tools to guarantee maximum service availability
  • Performs initial debug of issues and manages ticket queues for tool issues and feature requests.
  • Works with the vendors, as necessary, to provide support.
  • Escalates and tracks issues with tool vendors to guarantee maximum service availability
  • Identifies single point of failure and operational gaps and weaknesses and develops plans for remediation and improvements.
  • Configures and tests platform software to meet business needs.
  • Creates dashboards, correlation rules, alerts and reports
  • Works with vendor, as necessary, on implementation activities and automation of build and configuration
  • Maintains all technical deliverables including technical design and installation specifications and documentation of all configuration changes.
  • Works with release engineers to deploy all changes to production environment for assigned applications.
  • Plans for and manages the upgrade cycle for the platform.
  • Develops new and modifies existing customizations, conversions and interfaces.
  • Monitors usage, capacity and performance of systems; liaise with Client users and vendors to address problems and changes in requirements.
  • Recommends actions for fine tuning and capacity planning of existing systems
  • Maintains system documentation including licensing, hardware and software inventory, security data, user manuals etc.
  • Ensures systems are properly backed-up; define and implement backup procedures for disaster recovery purposes.
