Applications Systems Analyst V

Job Description

We have a position for a Applications Systems Analyst V with one of our clients in Denver, CO for an initial contract duration of 5 months.

This position will work within the team working to implement a new system for unemployment insurance benefits within the state of Colorado.

Primary Duties:

• Extract business rules from J-Cobol-based code in the CUBS system for interfaces between CUBS and other systems both internal and external to Colorado.
• Determine which business rules and corresponding coded actions will be required in the future system.
• Document the to-be business rules in a specific format for use by the vendor.
• Work with vendor to answer business-level questions about interfaces.
• Work with vendor to answer technical questions about interface components.

Secondary Duties:

• Extract business rules from J-Cobol-based code in the CUBS system for reports generated for and used by the state of Colorado staff.
• Determine how best to meet the goals of the reports using the new system.
• Document the to-be business rules in a specific format for use by the vendor.
• Work with vendor to answer business-level questions about reports.
• Work with vendor to answer technical questions about report components.
