A Full-time position for a Business Development Executive – IT Staffing with 3i People, Inc., is open in Alpharetta, Georgia.

3i People Inc has a challenging, exciting, and rewarding opportunity for a Business Development Executive (BDE) to support our internal sales and marketing division growth goals.

Key Focus:

  • Forge and establish new relationships with Mid-Market to Fortune 1000 clients for their software development or IT staffing needs. This role emphasizes Hunting as opposed to Account Management.
  • The successful candidate will persistently endeavor and thrive on “Winning” by penetrating and landing targeted accounts in which overcoming resistance and competitive obstacles is required.
  • Play a lead role in acquiring new client business and developing new relationships. Provide Account Management for an initial period after landing new clients.
  • Actively contribute to building 3i’s growth in revenue and GM goal attainment.
  • Participate in preparing RFPs, RFIs, Software development, and IT staffing proposals when needed.
  • Participate in and lead when appropriate - client meetings, business luncheons, trade fairs, and symposiums related to Information technology, IT staffing, and Software development.

Required Skills

The successful candidate for the position of BDE must possess a proven track record of employing consultative selling (defined as establishing the trusted partner relationship required to determine the prospect's needs, raise needs awareness, and involve the prospect in determining how offered products and services meet these needs) to sell products and services through networking, referrals, prospecting and direct selling.

  • Consistently successful experience (minimally meeting, preferably exceeding sales goals), demonstrated strength and competence selling to C-Suite, VP, Director, and Manager level individuals in mid-size businesses to large corporations is required.
  • A minimum of two years of consultative sales experience is required.
  • General IT/Technology knowledge a big plus.
  • The successful candidate will be a gregarious individual who is energized by engaging with people and thrives on prevailing in challenging, competitive circumstances.
  • High personal standards and personal integrity are mandatory.
  • While a team player, the candidate must also be able to work independently.
  • Excellent skills in the areas of time management, organization, professional presentations, and highly developed listening skills are essential.
  • Established relationships often referred to as a “Rolodex” or “Book of Business” is not mandatory but will be considered a plus.
  • An undergraduate degree in business or a business-related field is required. An advanced degree (MBA or MA in a business-related field) is a plus.
  • The right candidate will possess key entrepreneurial traits such as self-motivation, confidence, an inquisitive nature, resiliency, tenacity, high energy, self-reliance, independent thinking, a sense of urgency, persistence, drive, determination, professionalism and great listening skills. Positive team orientation and contribution is critical.
