We have a position for a IP Engineer III with one of our clients in Atlanta, GA for an initial contract duration of 1 year 11 months. No third party candidates considered for this position.

Our Client is searching for an IP Engineer III to serve independently and as a technical lead to a team responsible for network and security engineering of the Client National IP Network. This role will bring new data, networking, and security services, features, and capabilities to the Client Data Centers, as well as perform network service design, automation development, and function as Tier IV escalation point for break/fix incidents.  This role will utilize deep and broad knowledge of technical standards, and industry trends & practices, to build and test technical designs that can be delivered to internal customers in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

  • Create test plans, execute lab testing, develop low-level designs, lead field trials, and transition to operations teams.
  • Creates test plans; tests and validates functionality, management and performance for existing & new automation teams.
  • Develops playbooks/documentation for automation of functional standards and requirements – to include, testing, configuration changes, metrics collection, and API referencing.
  • Supports deployments of new services, systems, applications and architectures with configuration, integration, evaluation, testing, documentation, and training.
  • Provide IPAM platform and code certification for environment.
  • Provides detailed engineering support and consultation to other departments.
  • Defines and compiles standard methods of procedures (MOP) and documentation to support Operations in the configuration of network.
  • Facilitates communications with internal peers or cross departmental teams by holding or attending meetings, preparing reports, and participating on task forces.
  • Identify opportunities for improvements to existing designs & practices on an ongoing basis, drawing on new platform capabilities, industry standards, market demands, etc. Identify the business impact and value of these improvements.
  • Effective written and verbal interpersonal communication skills. Experienced at writing technical documentation. Typical formal documentation outputs will include test plans, project business/technical requirements, test results and key findings, standardized design guidelines, and implementation guides. Informal communication skills (e-mail, teleconference, face to face, etc.) are also required.
